Ingredients

  • 12 cups Amritdhaan Golden Sella Rice
  • 21 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, beans)
  • 31 large onion, sliced
  • 42 tbsp ghee
  • 5Whole spices (bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds)
  • 61 tsp turmeric powder
  • 7Salt to taste
  • 84 cups water
  • 9Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

Wash and soak Golden Sella rice for 20 minutes. Drain well.

Heat ghee in a heavy pot. Add whole spices and let them splutter.

Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add mixed vegetables and turmeric. Stir for 2 minutes.

Add the drained rice, gently stir to coat with spices. Pour in water and salt.

Bring to a boil, then cover and cook on low heat for 18-20 minutes until all water is absorbed.
