Ingredients
- 11 cup Amritdhaan Masoor Dal
- 23 cups water
- 31 tsp turmeric powder
- 4Salt to taste
- 52 tbsp ghee (for tadka)
- 61 tsp cumin seeds
- 74 cloves garlic, sliced
- 82 dry red chillies
- 91 onion, finely chopped
- 102 tomatoes, chopped
- 11Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions

Wash masoor dal thoroughly. Add to a pressure cooker with water, turmeric, and salt. Cook for 3-4 whistles.

Mash the cooked dal lightly and adjust consistency with water.

For tadka: heat ghee in a small pan. Add cumin seeds, garlic, and dry red chillies. Let them sizzle.

Add chopped onion and sauté until golden. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.

Pour the sizzling tadka over the dal. Mix gently.

Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
